Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Chad and the direct supervision of the Senior Project Assistant, and in close coordination with the logistics and finance units, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for receiving and providing reintegration counselling to Chadian Returnees under the AVRR programme, and supporting the organization and delivery of capacity-building workshops for partners and stakeholders.
- Assist returnees upon arrival at airport and at the reception center
- Assist returnees in developing individual reintegration plans tailored to their needs, capacities, and local opportunities.
- Provide counselling to returnees on available reintegration options and guide them throughout the process.
- Ensure proper documentation of reintegration plans and assistance provided.
- Support the implementation of reintegration activities, including procurement of goods and services in coordination with logistics and finance teams.
- Conduct regular follow-up with beneficiaries to monitor the progress and impact of the reintegration support.
- Maintain regular contact with returnees and refer them to additional services when needed (e.g., psychosocial, vocational training).
- Record all relevant data and updates in the MiMOSA database in a timely and accurate manner.
- Draft brief reports, case studies, and updates on reintegration trends and challenges.
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of beneficiary data.
- Participate in field visits to monitor reintegration activities, verify delivery of assistance, and assess returnees’ needs if necessary.
- Coordinate with service providers and community actors to facilitate reintegration at the local level.
- Support the organization of capacity-building workshops or community-based reintegration initiatives as needed.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- School diploma with four years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
