ย  Context

Under the direct supervision of the IBG Programme Manager and the guidance of the IBG Programme Assistant, the Project Assistant will support the effective implementation of immigration and border governance programmes in Lebanon.ย 

The IBG unit implements projects to improve border governance capacities in Lebanon, through infrastructure, equipment, capacity building and policy support to Lebanese authorities. This includes activities related to maritime search and rescue, border security, airport safety and humanitarian border management, among others.ย 

  1. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities, in particular those related to equipment and infrastructure support to national border management agencies. ย 
  2. Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  3. Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions. Includes but not limited to:
