Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting human and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.
Under the overall supervision of the AVRR Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Head of Registration Center, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting IOM Algeriaโs Hotline service.

1.ย ย ย ย Answer on a daily basis all calls received through the IOM Algeria Hotline for AVRR.
2.ย ย ย ย Channel other calls (not related to IOM assistance) to the IOM Algeria receptionist.ย
3.ย ย ย ย Provide migrants with timely and accurate information on services and procedures available to migrants registered or interested with the AVRR programme as provided by the IOM Algeria office.
4.ย ย ย ย Refer migrants wishing to register to IOM services (including the Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme) to the AVRR Registration Unit.
5.ย ย ย ย Refer registered migrants as needed to the appropriate IOM Algeria unit for follow-up (case management, departure dates, hosting dates, etc.).ย
6.ย ย ย ย Regularly and accurately maintain and update the call intake database, in coordination with the Information Management Unit.
7.ย ย ย ย Coordinate with the AVRR Unit any information update related to IOM beneficiaries (e.g. change of contact information, update on returnโs interest, etc.).
8.ย ย ย ย Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Education
โข ย ย ย ย University degree in in Political or Social Sciences, Business Administration, Migration Studies, International Relations and or Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 1 year of experience. Orย
โข ย ย ย ย Secondary school with 3 years of experience.

โข ย ย ย ย Familiarity with migrant rights; the different aspects of migration and refugee law; trafficking in persons; and voluntary return and reintegration.
โข ย ย ย ย Experience in humanitarian and policy work, including volunteer assignments, preferably on migration related policy issues an advantage.
โข ย ย ย ย Knowledge of Algeria and regional issues in the thematic area of migration is an advantage.

- For this position, fluency in French is required.
- Working knowledge of English and Arabic are desirable. IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
