NORCAP works with and through our partners to improve aid in two complementary ways:ย 

  • We provide targeted expertise to strengthen our partnersโ€™ response.ย 
    • We collaborate with partners to develop solutions to un-met gaps and challenges.ย 

      NORCAP, in collaboration with iMMAP Inc. and ECHO, will be implementing the โ€œRelief EU โ€“ creation of a surge capacity for experts to support humanitarian partnersโ€ project. This 24-month initiative aims to improve the speed, coordination, and reliability of humanitarian surge deployments across the sector.ย 

      We are seeking a Project Adviser that is responsible for supporting project functions in NORCAP and IMMAP Inc. The Project Adviser is part of a dedicated project team, overseeing and ensuring the timely implementation of the ECHO funded project within the approved agreement and according to the NORCAP strategy. This is a temporary position with a fixed duration of two years.ย

      As the Project Adviser, you will take on the following responsibilities:ย 

    • Proactively contribute to effective and well-functioning team(s) that deliver collectively and according to plans.
  • Responsible for day-to-day coordination, information sharing and support to the projects joint planning group
Responsible for project financial portfolio is up to date and the information in accounting system is correctly alignedContribute to the development, designing, scale up and quality assurance of the projectContribute to data collection, analysis, documentation, and reporting for monitoring and learning.Facilitate expert assignments in collaboration with NORCAP, iMMAP Inc., and ECHO.Organise internal and external workshops and events.Analyse emergency response trends and identify opportunities for system improvements.Represent the project in relevant meetings and forums.Ensure timely documentation and reporting of project achievements and results.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Bachelorโ€™s or masterโ€™s degree in project management, business development, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian response, preferably with emergency coordination.Proven experience in partnership or consortium-based project management.Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.Experience in financial and narrative reporting to donors.Please read the attached terms of reference for more details before applying.
