JOB PURPOSE:To support the coordination and implementation of Social Protection and CBT programmes and ensure delivery of assistance. Provide guidance and support government and partners in implementing WFP programs, including frequent travels to districts of implementation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Field Office, and in coordination with the Head of Social Protection in the Maputo Country Office, the incumbent is expected to perform the following tasks:
1. Planning, Implementation and CoordinationLead the overall planning and coordination of service provision activities with the Government, INAS Delegations.
Lead to the planning and coordination of multi-sectoral assessments to inform the selection of transfer modalities and delivery mechanisms.
Support the implementation of network assessments, beneficiary verification, and market assessments.
2. Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
Coordinate with INAS delegations and local government entities to ensure that key messages on financial inclusion are effectively disseminated during beneficiary registration.
Facilitate collaboration and coordination with WFP field offices in Nampula and the Country Office to ensure smooth implementation of CBT and social protection programmes.
Interacts and coordinates with the Cooperating partners to plan and support activities in the field.
Support organizing technical trainings
3. Programme Implementation
Support the implementation of CBT and social protection programmes through diverse delivery mechanisms, ensuring alignment with operational plans and timelines.
Support design, implement and monitor cash for work activities and the interaction with District authorities.
Contribute to advocacy efforts at the local level, engaging with partners and government counterparts to promote the value and impact of cash-based assistance.
Coordinates the implementation of registration and data collection processes.
4. Protection and Inclusion
Ensures implementation and monitoring of Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFM).
5. Reporting and Monitoring
Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely reports on programme activities such as distributions and ensure consistency in stakeholder communications.
6. Staff Supervision and Support
Provide guidance and supervision to field staff and other colleagues in the office, serving as a point of reference and supporting them in performing respective tasks.
7. Other Duties
Perform other tasks as required by the Field Office, contributing to the overall success of WFPโs operations in the region.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Advanced University degree in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Nutrition, Anthropology or other field relevant to international development or humanitarian assistance, or First University Degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses.Experience: At least one (1) year of postgraduate professional experience and implementation of social protection programmes or emergency or cash or school feeding programmes, with familiarity within the Humanitarian or Development project coordination. Experience with NGOs.
Language: Fluency (Level C) in Portuguese, Intermediate (Level B) in English

Duration: 12 months (renewable)
