ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Provide project management support to specific and defined school feeding, social protection, resilience, and crisis response activities in the context of climate-related shocks, with a focus on capacity building and nutrition programmes and projects that are relatively straightforward.
2.Contribute towards the implementation of country capacity strengthening projects and activities based on validated CSP workplans, including support to specific and defined smallholder farmerโs capacity programmes and projects and to the National School Feeding and Health Programme (PNASE).
3.Manage the timely preparation and dissemination of analytical and critical reports, publications, and a variety of information products or proposals for internal or external use, including, but not limited to, project reports, annual reports and country briefs.
4.Contribute to strengthening partnership efforts for the CO programme, including the coordination and follow-up with project implementing partners (NGOs), the national government, and UN agencies, seeking advice from management where necessary.
5.Follow up on the budget situation of projects, ensuring that resources are properly allocated within the projectโs deadlines and in observation of the grants TDDs.
6.Provide any additional support as required and/or requested by the office management.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
Advanced University degree in International Development, International Relations, Anthropology, Sociology, Social Research Methods, Social Sciences or other field relevant to international development assistance, or First University Degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses.
Experience:
3 years of relevant professional experience related to national development programmes, policies, strategies or plans and institutional structures, preferably in relation to school feeding, food security and/or nutrition.-Has deepened technical knowledge of humanitarian assistance interventions in different domains.
-Has experience in establishing contacts and liaising with partner organizations/companies.
-Previous experience working in an International Organization and/or UN organization desirable.
Knowledge & Skills:
-Solid understanding of Agenda 2030 and of SDG2 and SDG17 and respective targets and how the work of WFP can contribute to achieving them.
-Solid understanding of WFP policies and procedures.
-Familiarity with WFPโs mandate, Country Strategic Planning process, intervention modalities, programme and project lifecycle tools, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.-Solid knowledge of key national and regional contexts and issues.
-Demonstrated data collection and analytical writing skills, including ability to analyze and consolidate quantitative and qualitative information to understand national capacities across a wide range of policy and programme areas and identify gap and needs, as well as WFPโs entry points.
-Good operational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written outputs and ability to present English and/or in the language of the region.
-Proficient computer literacy.Language
โข International Professional: Fluency (level C) in English language.
โข Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish.
