    BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

    The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. WFP Somaliaโ€™s Country Strategic Plan 2022โ€“2025 focuses on strengthening community resilience, recognizing the interconnected nature of nutrition, safety nets, food systems, capacity strengthening, and partnerships, within the context of chronic drought and frequent climate and conflict-related shocks.

    The Operational Information Management and Performance Reporting (OIM/PR) Officer leads and coordinates all OIM/PR activities, ensuring consistent, high-quality information supports evidence-based decision-making and donor confidence.

    The Officer manages and develops OIM/PR systems and processes, collaborates across units (Programme, Field/Area Offices, Partnerships, Budget, Supply Chain), and supervises the OIM/PR team, reporting to the Deputy Head of Programme.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority):

    Team Leadership & Coordination

    • Lead, oversee, and coordinate all OIM/PR activities, ensuring standard and consistent information for WFP operations and results to facilitate informed and timely decision-making at all levels.

    • Supervise, coach, and mentor the OIM/PR team, providing guidance, oversight, and quality assurance of deliverables.

    • Act as the focal point for OIM/PR within the Country Office, representing the team in internal and external fora.
