The Position:
At UNFPA Indonesia country office, the Programme Unit for Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) focuses on contributing to reducing maternal mortality through building the capacity of national and sub-national level stakeholders to sustain the quality of family planning services, improve the quality and capacity of the midwifery institutions, and enhance Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC) interventions.ย
The Programme Associate Midwifery is expected to support the design, planning, and management of donor-funded projects relating to Midwifery, assisting in ensuring the achievement of outputs and financial delivery of the projects.

Job Purpose:
Working within the Country Office (CO) environment, the Programme Associate Midwifery will play an instrumental role in facilitating UNFPAโs country programme and project implementation, supporting design, planning, implementation, and reporting of donor-funded projects relating to Midwifery.ย
The Programme Associate Midwifery will apply established systems and procedures and assist in the creation of knowledge by compiling, synthesizing and analyzing relevant information, developing appropriate mechanisms and systems and ensuring compliance with procedures.
You would be responsible for:
Providing support in compiling and analyzing information relevant to midwifery to inform project formulation, by compiling and analysing information relevant to midwifery, drafting project documents and work plans; and preparing tables and statistical data.ย Supporting implementation and monitoring of midwifery project activities, assisting in tracking progress and contributing to identifying corrective actions as required; conducting field visits; participating in review meetings and evaluation missions and preparing regular inputs to status and progress reports. Guiding routine implementation of assigned projects, in coordination with national and project personnel, coordinating delivery of project inputs; and ensuring participation of national counterparts in training activities and study tours. Providing logistical support to projects by coordinating project related meetings, workshops and events. Assisting with orienting project personnel on relevant administrative and programme procedures, in coordination with the supervisor. Providing logistical and coordination support for advocacy and resource mobilisation efforts of the CO, by establishing and maintaining a network of donor and public information contacts. Assisting with organizing and conducting donor meetings and public information events, including preparing relevant background material for these events. Assisting in implementing knowledge management strategies to capture lessons learned and best practices, sharing these with management for future planning.ยInstitutional Arrangement:
The Programme Associate Midwifery will be directly supervised by and report to the Programme Analyst, Midwifery and Maternal Health.ย
Qualifications and Experience:ย
Education:ย ย
Completed Secondary Level Education required. A first level university degree is desirable.Knowledge and Experience:ย
Experience in assisting programme/ project management in the field of health, gender, population and development, or other relevant fields. Experience in working with various stakeholders, including government, NGOs.Experience in working with UN agencies is desirable.ย Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.Languages:ย
