Project Description:

Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the US Government and the US Presidentโ€™s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), that provides strategic technical assistance and direct service delivery to achieve HIV epidemic control among all at-risk populations; strengthen global health security (GHS), including outbreak response; improve maternal and child health (MCH), address malaria; and promote health systems strengthening (HSS) including supply chain management.

Position Summary:

The Program Officer will provide comprehensive support to the EpiC Bangladesh project, working across technical, administrative, and operational components. Reporting to the Deputy Project Director, the Program Officer will assist in the coordination and field implementation of program activities, partner management, reporting, and project documentation. This position plays a central role in supporting both technical and operational needs of the project, ensuring smooth execution of activities, financial accountability, and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing program activities across all technical areas, including GHS, MNCH, Nutrition, Risk Communication and Community Engagement, and Health Systems Strengthening.
  • Support the organization and facilitation of workshops, trainings, coordination meetings, and stakeholder engagement sessions at national and sub-national levels.
  • Coordinate with implementing partners and stakeholders to monitor progress, identify issues, and support timely implementation of project deliverables.
  • Track program timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and support the Deputy Project Director with follow-up and reporting.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain organized records of program activities, meeting notes, stakeholder communications, and training materials.
    • Assist in preparing regular program reports, briefs, concept notes, and success stories.
    • Support the Deputy Project Director and technical team in the preparation of donor and internal reports.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of key decisions, events, and outputs for internal knowledge management.

      Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

      • Support engagement with government counterparts, development partners, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders.
      • Assist in organizing participatory events and stakeholder forums to strengthen collaboration and alignment with project objectives.
      • Coordinate communication and scheduling with external partners for meetings, workshops, and field visits.

        Qualifications and Experience:

        • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Public Health, Development Studies, or related field (masterโ€™s preferred).
        • Minimum 4โ€“5 years of relevant work experience in project management, finance, or administrative support in donor-funded development programs.
        • Familiarity with USAID financial and programmatic regulations is strongly preferred.
        • Demonstrated experience in event coordination, financial reporting, and partner liaison.
        • Strong skills in documentation, communication, and record-keeping.
        • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting tools or ERP systems.
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bangla and English.
