ContextWe are looking for 1 Online Volunteer who, under the guidance of the External Relations Officer and in close collaboration with the communications team, will support us by producing an animated video for cervical cancer prevention activities for WHO. The volunteer will be responsible for creating an engaging, clear, and informative animated video of less than 2 minutes in length, aimed at raising awareness and promoting prevention of cervical cancer. Key Responsibilities: • Review and understand the key messages and content provided related to cervical cancer prevention. • Design and animate an illustrative cartoon that clearly conveys the information in a visually appealing and accessible way, suitable for social media, website use, and events. • Ensure the animation aligns with WHO communication guidelines and branding standards. • Incorporate text overlays, animations, transitions, sounds, or background music as needed to enhance the message and impact. • Deliver the final animated video in formats optimized for various digital platforms. • Meet deadlines for the production and delivery of the animated video. Skills and Competencies: • 2D Animation: Knowledge of animation tools like Adobe Animate, Toon Boom, TVPaint, or OpenToonz. • \"Draw My Life\" Style: Experience in tools that can create simple, engaging hand-drawn animations, such as Doodle, Animaker, or VideoScribe. • Storyboarding: Ability to plan and visualize the narrative through storyboards to map out each scene and ensure smooth transitions. • Graphic Design and Illustration: Strong skills in digital illustration (using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, or Sketchbook) or equivalent software. • Ability to create visually attractive and effective content for public health awareness. • Good understanding of storytelling, digital media best practices, and communication techniques. • Strong attention to detail and ability to transform concepts and messages into smooth and educational animation. • Excellent communication skills for liaising with project staff and incorporating feedback. • Ability to work independently and deliver within agreed timelines.
