About this position
The Technology and Transformation Department (TTD) is seeking an innovative, collaborative, and inquisitive Process Specialist who is eager to play a crucial role in TTDโs transformational journey at the IDB. As Process Specialist, you will be instrumental in shifting TTD from a traditional project-centric approach to a dynamic product-oriented operating model. Your mission will involve deeply assessing the current Process maturity within the IDB and guiding the cultural and structural transformation transition towards an Agile-centric way of working.
What youโll do
- Document GRC-related processes that align with agile methodologies across the Technology department. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, processes and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional squads, risk specialists, and compliance teams to ensure processes meet regulatory requirements while remaining flexible and efficient.
- Identify and bridge gaps between existing GRC frameworks and agile delivery practices.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the bankโs internal process repository.
- Ensure documentation is clear, standardized, audit-ready, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Support process owners in defining KPIs and control mechanisms aligned with GRC objectives
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote the adoption of new or updated processes, principles into existing operations and systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CGEIT, or similar
- Experience with tools like Jira, Service Now, Confluence, Visio
- Previous involvement in Agile or digital transformation projects within a bank or public institutions.
What you'll need
Education: Master's degree related to disciplines such as Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, Organizational Development, or Management.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years working in governance, risk management, compliance, or internal controls processes. Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, DevOps, etc.) and how they intersect with risk and compliance. Experience in documenting complex processes in regulated environments. Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, ISO 31000, ISO 9001, COBIT, ITIL, SDLC guidelines). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear documentation. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
Requirements
- Citizenship1: You are either a citizen of one of our 48-member countries eligible to obtain a valid residency or legal permit to work without the need for sponsorship by the IDB.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
- Remote Modality: The selected candidate will not provide services from the Bankโs office and will not be provided a physical space on the premises of the Bankโs Country Office. The candidate selected will be responsible for setting up the space, and for having the equipment, internet, and phone accesses to accomplish these TORs, outside the Bankโs office. Access to the Bankโs systems will be arranged in coordination with the Bank.
