- Role and responsibilities
The successful candidate ensures the reliable operation and maintenance of water supply systems serving refugee camps (Bokolomayo, Melkadida, Kob, Halewayine, Buramino) and host communities. Key duties include conducting routine inspections and timely repairs of pipelines, distribution networks, tap stands, and storage tanks; identifying and requesting necessary plumbing materials for procurement; accurately tracking inventory usage; assisting the electromechanical team with pump and generator maintenance; and providing 24/7 on-call emergency response to critical water system failures, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure the continuous supply of safe water.
Specific responsibilitiesย
- Inspect pressure pipelines, distribution systems, tap stands, and storage tanks across assigned areas (Bokolomayo, Melkadida, Halewayine, Buramino Refugee Camps, and Host Communities). Perform timely repairs on identified leaks and system faults.
