ContextUNDP is supporting government and partners to find innovative solutions to finance the SDGs. UNDP Indonesia established the Innovative Finance Lab (IFLab) in 2018, now known as the Financing for Development (FfD) Unit, serves as a collaborative platform dedicated to exploring innovative financing solutions for sustainable development. With a strong emphasis on creativity, collaboration, and impact, FfD bridges the gap between public, private, and philanthropic capital to support high-impact projects that advance environmental sustainability, social equity, and economic resilience. Through partnerships and cutting-edge financial mechanisms, FfD seeks to unlock new funding opportunities that drive meaningful change. FfD focuses on seven different but interrelated workstreams, namely Thematic Bonds, Impact Investing, Climate Finance, Faith Based Finance, Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF), Youth Empowerment, and De-risking and Access to Finance.
