Job description

The Partnership Officer supports the effective implementation of projects delivered by local partners, ensuring alignment with agreed plans, compliance requirements, and NRC standards. The role facilitates coordination, monitors progress, and contributes to strong, equitable and accountable partnerships.

Specific responsibilities

Collaborate with other departments, Grants, Safe & Inclusive Programming (SIP), Finance, Logistics, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) to ensure mainstreaming of core NRC principles and procedures across operational partners.Support partnership project cycle management (PCM) activities and assist in applying NRCโ€™s PCM framework in collaboration with partners, including cross-cutting programme elements.Support partners in becoming familiar with NRCโ€™s reporting procedures and templates.Support the identification, assessment, and selection of potential partners in alignment with NRCโ€™s strategic priorities.Contribute to partnership mapping, analysis, and reporting to strengthen NRCโ€™s partnership efforts.Support the development and management of partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with NRC policies and donor requirements.Assist in monitoring partner compliance with NRCโ€™s requirements and relevant donor guidelines.Conduct partners organisational assessment.Assess the partner's priority needs in terms of capacity strengthening.ย Assist in developing and implementing capacity strengthening plans to support partners with technical needsProvide and oversee necessary assistance to partners to ensure smooth implementation of partnership agreements and foster partners' overall development.ย Maintain filing and documentation of all partner projects and partnership documents, ensuringย correct and up-to-date maintenance of Partnerships Trackers.Support with the MEL aspects of the partnership and provide MEL capacity building as necessary to partners.Support the maintenance of up-to-date dashboards to track progress and disaggregated data of partner-implemented projects, helping ensure timely and accurate information for reporting and communication purposesSupport Safeguarding and Community Engagement initiatives with partners.Support the implementation of NRCโ€™s partnership strategy under the guidance of the Partnership Manager.Support the Partnership Manager as necessary, including representation and attendance at meetings as required, and coordination with teams.Support in identifying and mitigating risks related to partnership implementation, including operational, reputational, and programmatic risks.Ensure partner feedback mechanisms are in place, documented, and integrated into continuous improvement processes.

Generic Professional Competencies:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a related field, including partnerships and civil society strengthening.familiar with computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Windows Word and ExcelGood understanding of donor regulations and grants and partnership management.

Context/Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Knowledge of NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector.ย Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.Experience in capacity-sharing and community-based programming.Experience in coordinating activities and liaising with external actors.
