Consult internal and external stakeholders (NM OPS, ANSPs, airlines, etc.) to collect contributions for the capacity planning and obtain commitment for the optimum network solutions proposed. Provide inputs and conduct data analysis to support the deployment of a dynamic capacity planning process and the development of local/network capacity measures resulting in optimum solutions at network level to improve the European network performance. Contribute to both the 5 years Network Operations Planโ€”with particular emphasis each year on preparing for the upcoming summer seasonโ€”and the rolling seasonal Network Operations Plan, through the preparation of the traffic outlook and local/network capacity assessment. Evaluate sector capacities based on workload assessment through fast time simulations and contribute to the development of assessments and associated methodologies. Stay updated on latest technological developments/methods/best practices/trends and share them within the internal community to enhance organisational knowledge and methodology. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

Candidates must fulfil one of the following requirements: Completion of third level studies in a relevant field, meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level 7 followed by at least 3 years relevant professional experience or Completion of third level studies in a relevant field, meeting European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level 6 followed by at least 4 years relevant professional experience or Professional training (e.g. ATCO) of an equivalent level followed by at least 3 years relevant professional experience Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. Experience in or understanding of airspace capacity planning, including planning tools (NEST/DDR) and/or experience in fast time simulations. Experience in carrying out impact assessments of projects. Knowledge or understanding of ATFCM, strategic planning, and validation techniques. Project management and presentation skills. Technical drafting skills in English. Analytical thinking: you analyse information and identify relationships. Influencing: you tailor style and approach to impact others. Networking: you know how to maintain and expand effective networks. Result focus: you seek to improve personal performance. Teamwork: You foster teamwork. Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team-player approach. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1. The selected candidate will be required to become at least a basic user of French at level A1/A2 before the end of the probation period.
The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

The internal staff member with a determined contract will be offered, in principle, an appointment for 5 Year(s) with a maximum total duration of 9 years. The successful candidate shall be appointed at the grade set out in this vacancy notice, or if a group of grades has been published for a job level, in principle at the basic grade of the published job level.
