OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The mission of WHO's Health Emergencies Programme (The Programme) is to help countries, and to coordinator international action, to prevent, prepare for, detect, rapidly respond to, and recover from outbreaks and emergencies.
JOB PROFILE SUMMARY
In the context of the WHO Country Office and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) operations, the incumbent will be responsible for the collection of field data, analyses, update, and maintain data relevant to the immunization activities and Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPDs) surveillance to enable country operations to take strategic decisions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will perform the following, and other related responsibilities as required by the needs of the office:
1. Provide technical input in developing effective tools and processes to collect, manage and combine data pertaining to the immunization programs and vaccine-preventable diseases.
2. Analyze collected datasets; create maps, infographics, and other cartographic products on a regular and ad-hoc basis; in response country office needs.
3. Be responsible for field data collection efforts as necessary using different data collection techniques such as mobile data collection devices and applications.
4. Provide technical input in the development of tools to harmonize data collection and processes across WCO and field offices to facilitate consolidation of information. Respond to specific information requests from the technical teams and partners, ensure dissemination of information and knowledge sharing with all partners.
