Work LocationBamako / Mali Expected duration1 month Duties and ResponsibilitiesBackground : In the context of the operationalization of the Funding Compact 2.0 in Mali, the United Nations System (UNS), in collaboration with the Government of Mali, plans to hold a tailor-made National Dialogue, followed by thematic sessions with international financial institutions (IFIs), bilateral partners, the private sector and other stakeholders. This exercise aims to improve the quality, predictability and flexibility of development financing, in line with the national priorities defined in the National Strategy for Emergence and Sustainable Development (SNEDD 2024–2033). The process also fits into the context of preparing the next United Nations Cooperation Framework for Sustainable Development in Mali (CF) 2027-2031 and aims to mobilize increased political, technical and financial commitment around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Duties and responsibilities: The IC will be responsible for: - Proposing an update of the dialogue concept in light of strategic developments and national priorities, taking into account the withdrawal of certain traditional partners. - Proposing the methodology and lead the organization of the dialogues - Developing and refining planning tools (agenda, technical data sheets, roadmaps, invitations, briefing documents). - Supporting preparatory activities with stakeholders (government, IFIs, bilateral partners, private sector, foundations). - Participating in the logistics of the event in conjunction with focal points from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI); United Nations agencies, funds and programmes; and partner ministries. - Produce a summary note of the national dialogue, including key messages, recommendations, commitments and next steps. - Contribute to strategic communication and visibility tools related to the initiative. Qualifications/special skillsA University degree (Master's or equivalent) in international relations, development economics, public finance, political science or a related field and a proven experience (minimum 05 years) in coordinating international cooperation projects, policy dialogue or partnership and resource mobilization is required. A proven experience (minimum 05 years) in coordinating international cooperation projects, policy dialogue or partnership and resource mobilization and a good knowledge of the functioning of the United Nations system and partnerships in Mali is required. A proven skills in facilitation, strategic writing, and multi-stakeholder event planning and an excellent communication skills in French is required. Knowledge of English is desirable. A proven ability to work in a team and a proficiency in office and digital tools is desirable.
