    ABOUT GGGI

Launched since November 2015, the GGGI program in Morocco aims to support the process of implementing the National Sustainable Development Strategy (NSSD), the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the promotion and support of the implementation of a green, inclusive and sustainable development model at national and territorial level, aligned with the advanced regionalization process adopted by the Kingdom of Morocco. Its technical assistance focuses on policy and incentive formulation, identifying and designing bankable projects, and securing funds for their implementation.

The GGGI Morocco program focuses on four key themes:

    1. Climate Finance: To improve access to climate finance in Morocco's regions.
    2. Circular Economy and Waste Management: To support national mitigation actions in the waste sector and develop a biodigestate standard in Morocco through the implementation of the \"Organic Waste to Energy\" program.
    3. Carbon Pricing and Article 6 of the Paris Agreement: To design policy approaches for Morocco under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement through the \"DAPA program\" and to assist in setting up the Article 6 framework in Morocco through capacity building and legal support.
    4. Energy Transition and Investment Mobilization: To support Morocco's energy transition by developing large-scale investment projects in renewable energies, such as Green Hydrogen, floating photovoltaic solar, offshore wind, and organic waste-to-energy solutions.
