These strategic locations have allowed NRC greater reach from the north and south parts of the North-East and North Central region and allowed NRC to contribute to bridging the gap between humanitarian aid and development cooperation, including by focusing on equitable access to basic services and strengthening the rights of displaced people and returnees. In addition to the Country Office and the above-mentioned Area Offices, NRC has sub-office structures in Dikwa, Monguno, Biu, Mubi, Pulka, and Gwoza.

If you are those people, the Norwegian Refugee Council in Nigeria is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our team in Area South, Mubi Adamawa State.
Generic responsibilitiesย
Ensure NRC policies, handbooks, procedures, and SOPs/guidelines are adhered to.ย Support the timely implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning activitiesย Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines and standards.ย Responsible for implementation of operational M&E activities in close collaboration with Coreย Competency technical officers and officers/assistants.ย Ensure project documentation of M&E activities of Core Competencies.ย Contribute to the implementation of M&E systems, including M&E tools.ย Ensure that NRCโs related activities are implemented within NRCโs SIP (Safe and Inclusiveย Programming) Guideline and report any breaches/concerns to the line manager and/or focal point for proper action.ยย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย
Specific responsibilitiesย
Support in developing data collection methodology and tools, and in actual dataย collection as needed for NRC implementation and partners.ย Work with partners in planning and implementation of assessments, baseline, outcomeย monitoring, endlineย Support the digitalization of data collection tools and electronic warehousing of data fromย NRC and partners implementation.ย Support data management in close collaboration with core competenciesโ dataย assistants and the development of clear information flows between program and M&Eย staff, as needed.ย Conduct field monitoring visit to NRC and partners implementation site to ensure thatย activities are implemented as plannedย Ensure that monitoring data is reported in a timely manner to the technical M&Eย Coordinator for quality checks and submission to the Program Team Leaders andย relevant program staff.ย Support capacity building for NRC partners staff and partners field data collectorsย Support the targeting and the registration of beneficiaries as needed.ย Supervise distributions in collaboration with NRC program and partner staff.Support post distribution monitoring and related activities.ยโข At least 2 yearsโ experience in an international NGO preferably in an emergency or post conflict setting.ย
โข Experience with and knowledge of principles and current approaches to monitoring and evaluation in relief and development programs, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.ย
โข Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, outlook).ย
โข Knowledge of project cycle management Context related skills, knowledge and experience:ย
