ย Context
Working under the overall supervision of the Programme Coordinator (MH), and under the direct supervision of the migration Health Officer and national medical officer the successful candidate will be responsible for the carrying out the following duties and responsibilities in relation to the Medical Services in Marib.
- Develop and keep up-to-date Health Standard Operating Procedures (SOPโs);
- Supervise the MRP and CBC in Aden in close coordination with the protection to ensure proper health service delivery to migrants
- Supervise and train Medical Assistants in compliance to the Health Medical Assistantsโ SOPs; including medical teams and their daily tasks and attendance and coordinate their shifts and leaves
- Monitor the delivery of primary health care services as required.
- Ensure Fitness to Travel (FTT) for beneficiaries are carried out as required.
- Coordinate with the protection unit for all Voluntary Humanitarian Returns (VHR) as and when required.
- Receive and revise the inventories for medicines, medical supplies and medical equipment in the given health facility.
- Facilitate referral of patients with moderate to severe medical conditions, including higher health care facilities.
- Assist in improving the integrity of beneficiary relations by proposing key fraud prevention measures;
- Oversee the completion of medical forms, DNA packages and other medical documents and ensure they are transmitted to relevant partners, either by electronic means or by courier services. Verify that correct contacts and physical address are used whenever documents are transmitted by courier services and ensure to inform the receiving party of the parcel tracking number as required.
- Prepare and review monthly statistics on Health Services.
- Prepare purchase request forms for procurement of equipment and working materials for Migration Health Unit (MHU) activities.
- Prepare and review monthly statistics on Health Services.
- Provide inputs for new procedures to complement and/or adapt existing instructions in an effort to achieve streamlining efficiencies;
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Education
- University Degree/ Certificate in Medicine with progressive experience of at least Five Years (Three Years for Bachelorโs Degree holders); Accredited Universities are those listed in theย UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Minimum Relevant Progressive Five Yearsโ Experience (Three years for Bachelorโs Degree holders) in managing health related activities, large dynamic teams, and other related background;
- Demonstrated Knowledge and Understanding medical terminology and background is an added advantage.
- High computer literacy in Windows and MS Office (especially Excel) is mandatory,
Previous working experience with NGOs or international organizations is an added advantage Languages
