About IRRI The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) is dedicated to reducing poverty and hunger through rice science; improving the health and welfare of rice farmers and consumers; and protecting the rice-growing environment for future generations. Working with in-country partners, IRRI develops advanced rice varieties that yield more grain and better withstand pests and disease as well as flooding, drought, and other harmful effects of climate change.
Job Purpose

The Knowledge Management Manager will oversee the development and implementation of PDMOโ€™s knowledge management strategy and function, ensuring effective documentation, sharing, and utilization of knowledge and information resources within and outside the unit and among external stakeholders. The position will ensure that PDMOโ€™s databases and systems are amenable to knowledge/learning generation, and will lead in the analysis and development of knowledge materials and impact stories in support of IRRIโ€™s business development and other external engagement units in IRRI. The role will also lead in analyzing and summarizing IRRIโ€™s different innovation products and creating information materials for different institutional needs, especially in business development. This role contributes significantly to enhancing IRRIโ€™s organizational learning and visibility in line with its strategic goals.

This position will be based at the IRRI Headquarters, Los Baรฑos, Philippines and may only be filled by permanent citizens of the Philippines.

Roles and Responsibilities
Proficiency in using knowledge management software and digital library technologies. Demonstrated leadership and capacity-building abilities. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.

Preferred

Familiarity with agricultural research or international development sectors. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and data analytics tools. Knowledge of intellectual property rights and copyright issues.
