BACKGROUND
Last year, IFPRI, together with partners from the public and private sector, embarked on a research project to look at the impact of site-specific fertilizer recommendations obtained from farm level soil tests. Now that the season has passed, we are organizing endline data collection to test if knowledge about the soil has affected fertilizer use.
We are looking for a qualified consultant to set up the computer assisted personal interviewing infrastructure and assist with field logistics. In particular, the consultant will be responsible for the technical side of operations such as the development of the ODK app that will be used to capture the data. Furthermore, the consultant will co-organize the training of enumerators in Lilongwe and oversee data collection in the field. The consultant will work in close collaboration with researchers in Lilongwe. Fieldwork is scheduled to start towards the end of May and is expected to take about 25 days. The work requires travel to Malawi.
