Mission and objectivesWe, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, lead the global effort to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. ContextThe UNAIDS Regional Support Team for Asia and the Pacific (UNAIDS RST-AP) provides political advocacy, coordination, resource mobilization, and direct support to countries through three key practice areas of : - Science, Systems, Services, Equality, and Rights for All (SSRA) - Data for Impact (DFI) - Partnerships, Advocacy, and Knowledge Management (PAK) In close collaboration with the UNAIDS office in China (UOC), UNAIDS RST-AP is coordinating the development and submission of country and regional proposals to the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA). This initiative is part of the Global Development of South-South Cooperation Fund, aimed at fostering international collaboration and support. The UN Volunteer will assist the SSRA team in the successful submission of proposals to CIDCA.
Task DescriptionUnder the direct supervision of Regional Adviser on HIV Prevention and Treatment, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks : - Support proposal development, particularly in translation support from English to Chinese. - Assist in Coordination and Communication: Facilitating coordination and communication between UNAIDS RST-AP, UNAIDS Office of China, and UNAIDS country offices to ensure smooth and timely submission of proposals. - Contribute to Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking the progress of proposal development/submissions and providing regular updates to the SSRA team. - As part of the team the UN Volunteer will participate in various meetings.
