Result of ServiceThe ultimate result of this consultancy is to assist in sourcing and analyzing managerial and compliance data in the Resident Coordinator system, especially at the country coordination level, to help identify weak points and areas for improvement. The Consultant will coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including the DCO policy team, regional offices, Resident Coordinator Offices and Secretariat entities, providing support to ensure accuracy and timely data reporting. Work LocationHome-based Expected duration3 months Duties and Responsibilitiesโ€ข Maintain and update information in established databases and data collection systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness through routine data checks and standard reporting activities. โ€ข Identify and summarize trends or patterns in in structured and unstructured sources of information and data, using basic statistical methods to highlight relevant features for further analysis. โ€ข Prepare standard reports from existing tools and templates and assist with basic analysis using established formats. Support the implementation of routine reporting and quality checks; gather data from identified sources for analytics projects; and suggest minor process improvement within existing data analysis procedures. โ€ข Collect and consolidate data from multiple sources to support analysis and reporting activities. โ€ข Create interactive and static data visualizations to aid decision-making and communications of analysis outputs. โ€ข Drafts short inputs for routine documents/reports, briefings/debriefings, correspondence, following established formats and guidance. โ€ข Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to support improvements in data flows and data quality, as directed. Qualifications/special skillsAn advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in data science, analytics, statistics, data management, information systems or a related quantitative field, is required. A Bachelorโ€™s degree in combination with additional years of relevant experience (as indicated below) may be accepted in lieu of the Masterโ€™s degree requirement. For candidates holding a Masterโ€™s degree no work experience is required. For candidates without a Masterโ€™s degree at least two (2) years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, data entry, reporting, working with data tools (Excel, basic database software, standard reporting tools) and familiarity with data quality processes, is required. LanguagesFluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage. Additional InformationNot available.
