    Background and Purpose:

    The Joint Resilience Programme (JRP), implemented by UNICEF and WFP, and in collaboration with the Government of Somalia at Federal and Member State levels, aims to strengthen household and community resilience through integrated programming in nutrition, health, education, livelihoods, and WASH. The JRP is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the German Development Bank KfW since 2018. Joint Resilience Programme Coordinator will lead the strategic and operational coordination of the programme, ensuring coherence, integration, and alignment with agency mandates and donor expectations. In addition, the candidate will lead WFP and UNICEF Somaliaโ€™s engagement on the broader cross functional resilience agenda, including strategic development and positioning, advocacy and learning related to joint resilience programming. The incumbent will report jointly to the Chief of Field Operations at UNICEF and the Deputy Head of Programme at WFP

    Administrative arrangements: WFP will issue the contract with accommodation in the WFP compound. To enable effective coordination, the JRP Coordinator will alternate between WFP and UNICEF offices in Mogadishu, on a weekly basis.
