CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION
JOB TITLE: IT Operations Assistant (DAS)

DUTY STATION (City, Country): Dollo Ado, Ethiopia
DURATION: 12 months
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Support roll-out, adoption, device setup and capacity building on Digital Assistance Services (DAS) in Dollo Ado.JOB PURPOSE:
Under the technical supervision of the IT Operations Associate and overall Head of Field Office, the incumbent will support all DAS operations in the Dollo Ado, including technology adoption, technical support and training to stakeholders.
Key accountabilities (not all inclusive):
- Support all DAS related activities in the Field Office (FO).
- Provide digital support and advice to business units and collect business requirements to identify suitable digital solutions within WFPโs technology landscape or to facilitate the procurement of new market products
- Support the roll-out and use of corporate systems, including SCOPE, School Connect, Partner Connect, Easy Vista, PIT, LESS, CFM etc
- Conduct technical assessments in field locations, lead digital beneficiary registrations and provide related training and support to field stakeholders
- Work with the AO DAS lead and DAS Lead in the CO to identify areas of Continuous Service Improvement.
- Support training and knowledge management for all solutions supported by the DAS Operations team. This includes offsite and onsite trainings on various technologies.
- Liaise with the Global Service Management Team in analysis and resolution of reported incidents and problems as needed.
- Manage the equipment under the DAS unit including deploying configuring and maintaining them.
- Support, maintain, upgrade and continuously monitor the GDT infrastructure in the camps.
- Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Completion of secondary school education. University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, Economics, or another relevant field is desirable.
Experience: Five years of experience in technology development and implementation. Experience in the roll-out of technology solutions for the international humanitarian and development sector.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Solid technical background on digital and ICT. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize and drive sound business decisions.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting IT related issues.
- Experience in end users support team management.
