The Position:
Under the direct supervision of the Humanitarian Programme Analyst at the UNFPA Indonesia Country Office, the intern will support the unit in humanitarian coordination, documentation, and information sharing with the members of the Reproductive Health and Protection and the Gender-Based Violence and Womenโs Empowerment Sub-Clusters. Responsibilities will include assisting in organizing and coordinating meetings, preparing meeting minutes, updating members of the RH and GBV sub-cluster contact lists at the National and Sub-National levels and their activity trackers, and maintaining knowledge management products to ensure timely and effective information flow among cluster members.
A work plan with internship achievements and learning opportunities will be agreed upon. Periodic progress meetings will create a beneficial environment for the Intern, enhancing her/his skills and capacity in areas related to UNFPAโs mandate.

Job Purpose:
Under the direct supervision of theย Humanitarian Programme Analyst at the UNFPA Indonesia Country Office, the intern will provide support to the humanitarian team in the following key areas
You would be responsible for:
1. Coordination Support
Assist in the planning, organization, and facilitation of coordination meetings for the Reproductive Health (RH), Gender-based Violence (GBV) prevention and response,ย and Womenโs Empowerment Sub-Clusters of the Government of Indonesia. Prepare logistical arrangements and materials for both virtual and in-person meetings.2. Documentation and Reporting
Draft and finalize minutes of coordination meetings, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution to all relevant partners. Use of AI tools is encouraged. Maintain an updated calendar of events, meetings, and key activities for the National RH and GBV subclusterโs work plans.3. Information Management
Update and maintain RH and GBV Sub Cluster contact lists and communication platform, both at National and Sub-National Levels, activity trackers, and other coordination tools to ensure timely and accurate information sharing.ย Organize and manage the online shared drive and information repositories for the sub-clusters, both at the National and sub-national levels.4. Communication and Information Sharing
Support the dissemination of key information, updates, and resources to sub-cluster members and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure consistency and clarity in the language and format of all shared materials.5. General Support
Provide administrative and logistical assistance for UNFPA humanitarian-related events, workshops Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor in support of the humanitarian programme and inter-agency coordination work.During the internship, the selected candidate should participate in the online training on:

Education:ย ย
Be enrolled in a bachelorโs degree programmeย and have completed at least two years of full-time studies at the time of application, preferably in Public Health, Data Science, or Computer Science; or Have recently graduated with a bachelorโs degree as defined aboveโpreferably in Public Health, Data Science, or Computer Scienceโand, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduationย
Other elibility requirements:
Demonstrate interest in the field of development. Demonstrate written and spoken proficiency in English Demonstrate the ability to adapt to new environments and to establish and maintain good working relations with individuals of different cultural backgrounds.ย
Preference:
Demonstrated experience in university-based volunteer initiatives or active involvement as a member of organizing committees within campus or student organizations is highly valued. Shows a strong interest in, or has been involved in, issues related to Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Reproductive Health, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in emergency settings.ย Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English are required, while proficiency in additional languages will be considered an asset.Learning Elements:ย

Financial Aspects:
Interns do not receive a salary or any other form of remuneration from UNFPA. The costs associated with an intern's participation in the programme must be assumed either by the nominating institution, which may provide the required financial assistance to its students, or by the students themselves, who will have to meet living expenses as well as make their own arrangements for accommodation, travel, and other requirements. However, they receiveย a stipendย to help cover basic daily expenses related to the internship, if not financially supported by any institution or programme, such as a university, government, foundation, or scholarship programme. The stipend is based on the internโs agreed place of work, which may differ from the hiring office's duty station in cases of remote arrangements.ย
In addition, applicants must have medical insurance for the duration of the internship. Proof of insurance will need to be submitted before the internship begins. UNFPA does not provide medical insurance for interns.ย
