About the Projectย ย
Financed by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and implemented by the Pan-Africa Bean Research Alliance (PABRA) within the Alliance of Bioversity & CIAT, the B4WE Project aims to improve the socio-economic status of women by enhancing their access to productive resources such as quality seeds and agricultural training. Focusing on bean cultivation, a vital resource for the local economy, B4WE aims to increase women's incomes and empower them to actively participate in community and family decisions. The project is structured around several pillars: distribution of improved seeds, training in modern agricultural techniques, and integrating women into marketing channels. These efforts are complemented by an awareness component aimed at eliminating cultural barriers that limit women's participation in agriculture. B4WE strives to create a conducive environment where women can become key actors in rural development.u202Fย
