Work LocationGeneva Expected duration2-3 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe internship is located in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Policy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Services (PPMES). Under the overall guidance of the Chief of PPMES, the intern will perform the following duties: - Researches, compiles and organizes information and reference materials from various sources, specifically research related to the role of Behavioral Science in Programme impact achievement; - Provides support with secretarial, administrative and logistics support to meetings, boards, committees, conferences, etc. - Reviews, records, distributes and/or processes mail and other documents; follows-up on impending actions; - Proofreads documents and edits texts; - Assists in the preparation of presentation materials using appropriate technology/software; - Performs other relevant tasks as assigned. Qualifications/special skillsNo professional work experience is required for participation in the Internship Programme. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional UN language is an asset. Additional InformationNot available. Intern Specific textInterns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations.
