The internship in the General Service Unit at ECLAC Mexico City will last 6 months. Candidates may be selected throughout the posting period, on an \"as-needed\" basis. Under the supervision or overall guidance of the General Services Supervisor: The intern will support the team in the administrative activities of the Unit. Tasks will include: SECURITY: Daily tasks: โข Prepare information such as infographic for Security-related matters (welcome, safety, etc.). โข Maintain the security control tasks up to date โข Keep zone and fire wardensโ plans up to date. Support to Safety and Security Week: โข Contribute to the planning and organization of activities and campaigns during Safety and Security Week. โข Assist in the creation and distribution of awareness materials (e.g. posters, safety tips). โข Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external facilitators to ensure timely delivery of sessions and trainings. โข Monitor participation and gather feedback from attendees through surveys or other tools. โข Provide logistical support for in-person and virtual activities, including setting up venues, managing equipment, and participant coordination. CONFERENCE: Daily tasks: โข Attend all the events in Prebisch meeting room. โข Prepare checklists for organizing meetings. โข Manage the control, reception, and notification of participants at events. โข Coordinate the setup and dismantling of rooms. โข Oversee Meeting Room management. โข Give support to coordinate meetings and events arrangements. โข Keep event file up to date. โข Support with the promotion of the Prebisch meeting room with other UN Agencies. Support to the Womenโs Conference: โข Assist in the coordination and logistical preparation of the Womenโs Conference, including venue arrangements, participant registration, and material preparation. โข Provide on-site support during the event, including registration desk management, timekeeping, and technical assistance, in case it is required. OTHER: โข Receive phone calls and visitors and referring them to the appropriate source or reply personally to queries when possible. โข Scan and photocopy a variety of documents and other materials. โข Operate a variety of office equipment in the performance of basic office functions, e.g. photocopier, printer, scanner, etc. โข Perform other duties as required. Qualifications/special skills-Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelorโs degree or equivalent). -Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. -Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Masterโs or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelorโs, Masterโs or PH.D.
