Internal and external candidates will be considered for this vacancy. ย Context
In close collaboration with national and local authorities and experienced Partners, through the HELIOS+ project IOM aims at promoting the integration of beneficiaries of international protection and temporary protection into the Greek society through activities for employability support, the provision of Greek language courses and vocational training, the support for independent living, including rental subsidies, activities promoting social cohesion and inclusion.
Under the overall supervision of the Regional Coordinator (Central Greece) and the direct supervision of the Project Team Lead (Integration and Independent Living), the successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Provide information to the eligible beneficiaries and perform their enrollment in the project.
- Monitor the progress of the beneficiariesโ integration through individual sessions.
- Conduct presentations to familiarize the beneficiaries with the European Way of Life.
- Organize psychosocial support sessions.
- Provide information to the beneficiaries about social welfare rights, housing, access to healthcare and education services, etc.
- Conduct referrals to other actors for cases in need of specialized further support.
- Coordinate with other project units, other actors and relevant authorities to ensure the needs of the beneficiaries are met.
- Evaluate requests for exemption from the obligation to register and/or attend the Greek language courses.
- Ensure accurate data entry and quality physical archiving of Means of Verification.
- Coordinate with RIS and other relevant stakeholders operating on-site and regularly visit the designated Reception Facilities to present the project to the beneficiaries residing therein through comprehensive information sessions and enrol them in it, if eligible.
- Assist the beneficiaries in their search for apartments and administrative pre-requirements, depending on needs and perform relevant verification actions, in the designated area of responsibility.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned. Education
- University degree in psychology, social work or any other related field from an accredited academic institution with minimum one year of work experience.
- Masterโs degree in the above fields will be considered an advantage.Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience
- At least one year of previous work experience;
- Professional license, where applicable;
- Possess adequate combination of knowledge, education, training experience and skills to perform essential functions of the position;
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment preferred.Skills

- Valid driverโs license with at least five years driving experience an advantage.Languages
