  1. Role and responsibilities

    The Information Management Assistant will act as the field office data focal point. S/he will help coordinate data and information management between the programme, the implementing partners, and the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Team at the Area Office. S/he will support theย Core Competency (CC)ย Project Manager(s)/Project Coordinator(s) and implementing partner(s) with data collection, analysis, records management and storage, and reporting.

  2. Support in updating of Indicators Performance Table (IPT) at the Field Office.
Gathering, organizing, and maintaining information in a systematic and efficient manner. Supervise data capture processes to ensure they are implemented according to plans and agreed standards, (verifying data against MoVs) Provide analysis of information and data to identify the trends and patterns and preparing reports to communicate the findings. Manage data entry into GORS, ensuring data is entered timely and accurately.ย  Maintain CC files, databases, and other archives documenting project progress. Provide training and support to NRC and partner staff on data capture, analysis, and use. Maintain CC-specific portion of data capture, analysis, and warehousing platforms (e.g., Collect and SharePoint) is well organised and accessible. Liaise with IMO and other units on areas of common responsibility.

Specific responsibilitiesย 

Develop and administer a CC information management system for project implementation, including but not limited to needs assessment, identification of beneficiaries, selection and targeting, distribution and reconciliation of deliverables (RoDs). Develop and maintain CC information management tools, formats, and metadata schemes for online information services to standardise content capture, storage, search, and retrieval. Conduct data quality checks on GORS by comparing data collected with narrative reports and previous reporting periods to ensure the quality and precision of the reported data. In collaboration with IMO and MEL, aggregate and track direct beneficiary/total reach, indirect and unique beneficiaries per the proposal and Donor's expectations. Provide data for the field office for both internal and external reporting. Liaise with IMO and MEL team to update and adjust the Monitoring and Evaluation tools as required. Maintain and improve the database developed for beneficiary tracking. Monitoring of partners. Help in the supervision of data collection for PDMs, baseline and endline assessments. Any other responsibilities assigned to him by his Line Manager.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an international NGO, preferably in M&E, Data management or Information Management System (IMS). Bachelorโ€™s Degree in computer science, social studies, development studies or higher diploma in Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation or similar with at least 1-2 years of active professional experience in data management, preferably in an emergency or post-conflict setting. Thorough experience with developing databases and beneficiary-tracking tools. Demonstrated ability in electronic data collection, data cleaning and analysing. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases, and data analysis tools. Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Fluency in English, both written and verbalย 

Context/specific skills, knowledge, and experience:

Knowledge of the context in South Sudan. Experience with remotely managed programming; Experience in GIS mapping is an advantage. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Positive and professional attitude
