POSITION INFORMATION
The Project Assistant will provide coordination, and technical support for the implementation of the Renewable Energy Accelerated Transition (RE-ACT) project. To ensure smooth project execution, the Project Assistant will coordinate with the GGGI Indonesia energy program and liaise with relevant stakeholders at both the national and sub-national levels.
The Project Assistantโs responsibilities will focus on coordinating project activities, including organizing meetings, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and supporting event preparation. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support by liaising with technical Ministries and other stakeholders in the Renewable Energy sector. The Project Assistant will also contribute to data collection activities, including information gathering, data processing, and ensuring that technical information is accurately reported and disseminated.
PURPOSE
The Project Assistant will support the implementation and monitoring of the RE-ACT Project in Indonesia. The role focuses on ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of technical assistance, project reporting, stakeholder coordination, and knowledge of products aligned with RE-ACTโs strategic priorities. This includes supporting evidence-based policy development, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and enhancing data and communications management.
ENGAGEMENT
The Project Assistant will work as a part of GGGIโs Country Program and be based in Jakarta. Reporting to the RE-ACT Project Manager, S/he will work in close collaboration with the Project team.
The Project Assistant will conduct the following tasks, among others:
Assist the project team in supporting the development and operationalization of evidence-based policy recommendations by helping to connect technical insights with stakeholder priorities. Contribute to transforming study findings into actionable summaries and inputs relevant for the Government of Indonesia. Facilitate effective communication and coordination with government agencies, private sector partners, and development stakeholders. Provide logistical and coordination support for meetings, workshops, and consultations with government agencies, private sector partners, and other stakeholders. Maintain updated records of stakeholder contacts and engagement activities. Help gather, organize, and present project data and inputs for reporting purposes. Assist in drafting meeting notes, simple communication materials, and activity updates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.

Drafted or co-developed content for project reports, activity updates, and internal briefings. Meeting notes, minutes, and email follow-ups aligned with project coordination needs. Drafts of communication materials such as simple slide decks, info sheets, or newsletter inputs.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum Bachelorโs degree in sustainable development, economics, international relations, engineering, or political science is preferred. Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in renewable energy sector and policy development. Internship experience may be considered as part of the required experience. Experience in working with the government and non-government counterparts on a day-to-day basis in Indonesia is essential. Experience working in a multi-cultural and international organization is preferred. Experience in organizing events in a dynamic environment with a variety of stakeholders is highly preferred. Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia for reporting and presentations are essential. Willingness for occasional travels to selected provinces.

Experience in engaging with other government stakeholders to maintain relationships and build trust and identify potential alignment with the Project. Experience in administrative processes necessary for project implementation. Experience in research and analysis to support project implementation, with knowledge of quantitative methods as an asset. Team player, creative problem-solver, and innovative thinker. Excellent multi-cultural literacy and interest in being a part of an international team working in an evolving and entrepreneurial environment. Excellent communication (both written and oral) and facilitation skills.

INTRODUCTION
Renewable EnergyโAccelerated Transition (RE-ACT)
To support the Government of Indonesia (GOI) in achieving its renewable energy and net-zero emission targets, the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is implementing the โRenewable EnergyโAccelerated Transitionโ (RE-ACT) project in Indonesia. The RE-ACT project, which commenced in October 2021 and spans five years, is funded by the Government of New Zealand. The project collaborates with the GOI to address policy barriers and challenges, aiming to create an enabling policy environment that stimulates private investment in renewable energy, thereby facilitating more ambitious Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) based on accelerated renewable energy adoption.
The project encompasses the development and implementation of supporting policy frameworks, stakeholder engagement, capacity development, and the creation of de-risking instruments and financing mechanisms.
The RE-ACT project is led by the Directorate for Various New and Renewable Energy at the Directorate General for New Energy, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR), with BAPPENAS serving as the co-chair of the project
