About this position

We are seeking a highly motivated professional with demonstrated expertise in environmental and social risk assessment and management to join a team that provides technical support to ensure IDB Invest-financed operations are environmentally and socially sustainable. The role involves aligning projects with IDB Investโ€™s Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy (ESSP), and requires experience on social issues such as resettlement, Indigenous Peoples, contextual risk analysis, and stakeholder engagement, grievance mechanisms, labor and working conditions. Experience with extractive sector and critical minerals would be a plus.

You will work in the Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance Division (SEG), which is responsible for ensuring that IDB Invest financed projects and other activities are environmentally and socially sustainable. SEG specialists provide IDB Invest and its clients with guidance on environmental and social issues and participate in project teams and deliver technical input on social and environmental aspects during project due diligence and supervision.
