United Nations Global Service Center (UNGSC) under the Department of Operational Support (DOS) is responsible to provide critical Logistics, Geospatial, Information &Telecommunications Technologies services and Training to all Secretariat Entities, Peacekeeping and Special Political missions, Agencies, Funds and Programmes of the UN system worldwide.

Functional Responsibilities

Education:

Secondary school diploma (or high school equivalent) and six (6) years of relevant experience are required OR. A first-level university degree (undergraduate, Bachelors, or equivalent) with 2 years of relevant experience OR A technical diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
Experience:

Required:
Relevant experience is defined as experience in the field of Enterprise Data Centre Infrastructure. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in monitoring and maintenance of Enterprise Data Center UPS Systems, Fire Suspension Systems, HVAC, Free Cooling Systems. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in voice and data center network structured cabling.
Desirable: (The following experience is optional. Candidates who do not have it are welcome to apply)
Experience in installation, configuration and programming of PLCโ€™s and microcontrollerโ€™s. Experience in an international/ multicultural organization. Understanding and experience of Internet of Things (IoT), Operational Technology (OT), Industrial control systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second UN language is desirable.

For retainer contracts, you must complete a few mandatory courses ( they take around 4 hours to complete) in your own time, before providing services to UNOPS.
