The ICLA Technical Assistant will provide information, counselling, and assistance to displacement-affected populations within the area of operation. This includes:ย

Assist with implementation of the ICLA portfolio according to work and activity plans.ย
Implement procedures and activities within own function or core competency as delegated.ย
Organize and deliver tasks in line with priorities and standards.ย
Develop and maintain knowledge of the specialist area of work to effectively support the team.ย
Use initiative in day-to-day problem-solving within agreed procedures and standards.ย
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.ย
Promote and share ideas for improvement in the area of expertise.ย
Actively promote Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) standards within NRC and among project participants.ย

Information, Counselling, and Legal Assistance Deliveryย
Stay updated on and respect all internal procedures and thematic guidelines.ย
Deliver individual and group information sessions (GIS) in line with ICLA guidance.ย
Provide individual counselling on legal and civil documentation, housing/land/property, work rights, access to essential services, and residency rights.ย
Deliver legal assistance in accordance with ICLAโs case management standards.ย
Follow up on case management files with a qualitative, client-centred approach, ensuring confidentiality and respect.ย
Identify and address barriers to access for women, youth, and persons with disabilities to ensure equitable participation in ICLA activities.ย
Adapt information materials (language, visuals, format) to be inclusive and accessible for participants with different literacy levels, genders, and backgrounds.ย
Ensure meaningful participation of community members through regular consultations, feedback sessions, and culturally sensitive communication.ยSafe and Inclusive Programmingย
Apply NRCโs Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP) and DIP framework throughout project implementation, focusing on:ยSafety, dignity, and avoiding harm.

Support project participants to express their views and participate in shaping NRCโs assistance through focus groups or community meetings.ยย
Data Collection and Referralsย
Undertake day-to-day data collection and entry for field activities and legal case management.ย
Participate in field mapping exercises.ย
Oversee referrals to local aid organisations, both national and international, ensuring that care plans align with legal case management guidance.ย
Track sex, age, and disability disaggregated data (SADD) for all participants to support DIP monitoring.ย
Maintain confidentiality and secure data protection of all client information in line with NRCโs DIP and safeguarding standards.ย
