OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST

Under the overall authority of the Chief of the Talent Acquisition and Outreach Section and the direct supervision of the Senior HR Officer (Talent Outreach and Partnerships)/Team Lead, the HR Officer (Partnerships) will play a key role in building and maintaining strategic relationships with โ€Ždonor countries and entities and enhancing the employee experience of the sponsored โ€Žpersonnel, including Junior Professional Officers (JPOs), sponsored trainees, Seconded and โ€ŽLoaned Personnel, and UN Volunteers. This position involves guiding these employees โ€Žthrough the entire Employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance โ€Žmanagement and offboarding. The incumbent will also ensure alignment between โ€Žorganizational HR needs and donor expectations to foster sustainable and impactful โ€Žpartnerships.โ€Ž

Partnerships Operational Management:

โ€Ž- Manages HR Partnerships modalities, including exploring potential opportunities for the deployment of sponsored personnel. โ€Ž

โ€Ž- Maintains strong relationships with donors relating to the operational management of the โ€Žemployment of the sponsored personnel. โ€Ž

โ€Ž- Ensures timely and transparent communication with donors, serves as a point of contact for donor inquiries, maintaining transparent and timely communication.โ€Ž

โ€Ž- Coordinates with relevant Sections โ€Žfinancial and administrative processes for sponsored positions.

- Monitors and produces regular reports and briefings for internal and donor stakeholders.โ€Ž โ€Ž

Employee Experience & Lifecycle Management for Sponsored Personnel:โ€Ž

- Enhances employee experience for JPOs, sponsored โ€Žtrainees, and other personnel by โ€Žcoordinating recruitment, onboarding, training and โ€Žmentoring, and offboarding processes.โ€Ž

โ€Ž- Advises, provides guidance and support to sponsored personnel โ€Žthroughout their tenure with โ€Žthe organization, facilitating their adjustment and โ€Žengagement.โ€Ž

Onboarding & Integration:โ€Ž

โ€Ž- Designs and oversees (in collaboration with relevant HRM teams) the onboarding programs specific to โ€Žsponsored personnel, ensuring they receive a structured and welcoming introduction to โ€Žthe organization.โ€Ž

โ€Ž- Organizes orientation sessions, training activities, and networking opportunities.โ€Ž

Ongoing Support & Development:โ€Ž

โ€Ž- Collaborates with HR Learning and Development team to identify learning and โ€Ždevelopment opportunities aligned with both the organizationโ€™s needs and donor โ€Žobjectives.โ€Ž

โ€Ž- Tracks performance and development milestones and addresses any performance โ€Žshortcomings offering tailored support.โ€Ž

โ€Ž- Establishes regular check-ins to assess job satisfaction, gather feedback, and address any โ€Ž challenges they face.โ€Ž

Offboarding:

โ€Ž- Facilitates offboarding procedures, ensuring that all administrative, logistical, and โ€Žknowledge-transfer requirements are met.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Advanced university degree (Masterโ€™s degree or equivalent) in human resource management, business or public administration, organizational development, law, social sciences or related fields.

Work Experience

Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in human resources management, HR partnerships management & development or related areas, of which preferably at least 2 years acquired at the international level.
