The Position:
As a member of the Client Services Team serving New York HQ Office, you will beย working closely with the Sr. HR Business Partner / HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP / HRBP) in the provision ofย delivering the full range ofย high-quality HR services and programs to clients in the HQ Office.

Job Purpose:
The HR Analyst, Client Services will work closely with the Sr. HRBP / HRBP at HQย in the delivery and flawless execution of HR services and programmes to field-basedย managers and staff. The HR Analyst will support managers and staff on matters concerning talent sourcing, recruitment, onboarding and induction, mobility, performance management,ย ย workforce planning, HR operations including contract management, contributing to policy development and advice training and career development and data analytics.ย
HR Analyst positions have access to advice and on-the-job training from specialists in the individual HR occupations in the resolution of on-going non-routine casework.
You would be responsible for:
A. Delivering comprehensive HR Servicesย
Develop a strong understanding of the rationale underlying HR policies to apply and interpret for staff and management on policies,ย processes and practices;ย Working with the Sr. HRBP / HRBP and in collaboration with team members and theย respective program owners in DHR, support the delivery of the full range of HR client services on theย employment life cycle from recruitment and onboarding to contract management andย separation, and support the effective implementation of key HR programs in the client area, such as workforce planning, global mobility, performance/talent management, careerย development and staff learning;ย Support the delivery of other HR programmes and initiatives in the clientย area;ย Use agreed metrics to measure service delivery in the client area, prepare monitoringย reports and recommend corrective action as and when required;ย ย Research to adjust/improve HR policies, processes, practices or programs whenย warranted to strengthen DHRโs client services in support of UNFPAโs strategic businessย objectives;ย Prepare briefs, reports and presentations for clients or internally in the team, as required.ย In coordination with Senior HRBP, HQ, analyze and report on the metrics of regional delivery of HR client services and provide analytical support on workforce trends and any custom HR analytics as required working closely with the Analytics Unit;B. Partnership and coordinationย
Workย with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and programme delivery in theย areas of duty of care, PSEA, evaluation, audit, investigations, ethics;ย Liaise with relevant UNDP-BES or local UNDP office for benefits and entitlementsย matters;ย Track HR budgets and expenditures, ensuring all is properly charged.ยC. Contribute to knowledge development and knowledge sharing on understanding theย organizationโs strategic objectives, clientsโ business and related HR service delivery byย actively participating the DHR Community of Practice as well as any relevant events in theย client units;ย Participate in and contribute to special events organized for Client Services Teams forย knowledge sharing and community building;ย Liaise with HR colleagues within and outside the UN System to build knowledge and shareย current good HR practices.ยQualifications and Experience:ย
Education:ย ย
An advanced universityย degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration,ย Organizational Development or related discipline is required.ย ย
Knowledge and Experience:ย
Minimum of two years of progressively relevant experience in HR management providing strategic HR support to a large client base, and on a global level is required; HR experience within UNFPA is considered an asset; Knowledge of modern concepts and approaches, and evolving trendsย in the field of Human Resources;ย Ability to deliver effective solutions to complex HR challenges in a multicultural and increasingly remote-based environment ;ย Strong analytical skillsย โ ability to extract data, identify trends and raise to the attention more senior staff with recommended actions;ย ย Demonstrated innovation and creative problem-solving abilities;ย Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills โ ability to coordinate several work-streams in parallel, while maintaining attention to details;ย Ability to handle confidential information and build a trusting rapport with staff at all levels of the Fund;ย ย Ability to collaborate effectively and create sense of cohesion in teams Previous experience with development/humanitarian organization would be considered an asset.ย Excellent knowledge of information technology systems and tools. Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS would be considered an asset;Languages:ย
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other official UN languages is desirable.ย ย
