UN Women Jordan Country Office supports the Government of Jordan to implement global norms and standards on gender equality and womenโs empowerment. Under its Strategic Note for the period 2023-2027, the UN Women Jordan Country office promotes womenโs economic empowerment, gender responsive governance and womenโs political participation in alignment with the government of Jordan Triple Modernization Agenda; works to advance the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security agenda including through the Jordan National Action Plan for Women, Peace and Security (JONAP); and implements a resilience
and empowerment model for Syrian refugee women and vulnerable Jordanian women in camps and host communities in support of the Jordan Response Plan (JRP). Under the direct supervision of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Programme Specialist, the Monitoring and Reporting Officer will be responsible for strengthening results-based monitoring and reporting across the WPS portfolio, including Womenโs Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) projects, and for supporting national partners, particularly the Jordanian National Commission for Women (JNCW), in the implementation of robust monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems under the Jordanian National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security (JONAP).

Description of Responsibilities/ Scope of Work
The Officer will ensure timely and quality documentation, reporting, and knowledge management, in alignment with UN Womenโs Strategic Plan and donor requirements. The responsibilities include:
1. Lead and Coordinate Reporting for the WPS Portfolio (including WPHF)
2. Strengthen Monitoring, Evaluation, and Results-Based Management
Support programme team and partners in applying Results-Based Management (RBM) principles throughout the WPS portfolio, including the development and refinement of results frameworks, indicators, baselines, and targets. Oversee the WPS monitoring calendar, lead regular monitoring reviews, and ensure follow-up on findings. Ensure timely collection, verification, and analysis of data across WPS interventions, including coordinating with implementing partners and conducting field visits as needed. Develop and maintain the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research (MER) plan for the WPS portfolio in alignment with the UN Women Strategic Plan.3. Provide Targeted M&E Support to the Jordanian National Commission for Women (JNCW)
Provide hands-on technical support to JNCW in planning, tracking, and reporting progress on JONAP II, including support in refining M&E frameworks, templates, and tools. Support JNCW in the development of JONAP-related monitoring reports, data collection plans, and evaluation preparations on an annual basis Assist in capacity development initiatives for JNCW and relevant stakeholders in M&E, including RBM training and coaching sessions. Supporting the evaluation process of JONAP II, perception related surveys, and the development process of JONAP IIIโs Results and Resources Framework (RRF). Support the work on Activity Info, including generating reports from the system and reflecting them on the programme related reports.4. Contribute to Coordination, Evaluation, and Knowledge Management
Coordinate with the Jordan Country Officeโs M&E staff to ensure alignment with monitoring and evaluation practices. Support the implementation of the Country Office evaluation plan, including preparation and use of evaluations related to the WPS portfolio. Representing the Country Office in inter-agency monitoring and evaluation of working groups under the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), as relevant. Identify, document, and disseminate good practices and lessons learned from the WPS portfolio and JNCWimplementation efforts.
6. The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Required Qualifications

Education and Certification:ย
Masterโs degree or equivalent in public administration, law, economics, human rights, gender equality, management, social sciences or other related areas is required. A first-level university degree in combination with 4 years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A project/programme management certification would be an added advantageยExperienceย
At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level in monitoring and reporting on development projects/programmes, including proficiency in data visualization tools (such as Power BI or similar platforms) and the ability to translate complex data into clear,visually compelling reports and dashboards for decision-making is required. Strong skills in designing and presenting data through charts, graphs, maps, and other visual formats to enhance stakeholder understanding and program evaluation is required.ย Experience in the United Nations systems in desirable.ย Field experience is desirable.ย Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems is required. Experience in the use of a modern web-based ERP System is desirable.
