What we are looking for
NRC Iraq is looking forย a Head of Support to join the mission. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that all support functions are providing high quality and efficient support programme implementation.ย With 15 years of humanitarian operations in Iraq throughout 8 governorates, and responses to large scale IDP and refugee populations, NRC Iraq is in a phase down process with increased capacities in country and a reduced humanitarian environment. Our implementation and operational footprint countrywide is reducing and changing management processes are underway to ensure that NRC remains suitable for the context. The Head of Support will be leading multiple workstreams in this change process.ย As overall lead for Logistics, Finance, HR, and ICT, the Head of Support will be responsible for coordinating a responsible approach to workforce redevelopment, financial coverage, asset management, information management with institutional memory, and engagement with authorities.ย These processes will be in line with NRCโs strategy for 2026 and phase down planning, working closely with the Country Director and the Regional Team Head of Operational Support

What You Will Do
Line management of support managers such as Finance, HR & Admin, Logistics, and ICT. Member of the Country Management Group (CMG). Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and handbooks and donor/auditor requirements. Facilitate support functions strategic input to the development of the Country Strategy and Plan of Actionย . Provide operational support in proposal development, and coordinate and align operational support with programme plans.ย Responsible for ensuring quality and timely support to project implementation.ย Facilitate the Master Support Budget, country level budgets and BPO development, including assessing and monitoring costs and resource allocation needs.ย Responsible for the strategic development of support structures both at Country and Area Office level in collaboration with the CMG, especially the Area Managers. Providing technical systems with training, human resource capacity and allocation enabling decentralization where appropriate Responsible for development of new and to update country specific technical SOPs, guidelines and tools. Responsible for organisational learning related to programme support. What You Will Bring
Minimum 4 yearsโ experience in a senior management position in a humanitarian/recovery context. Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Allocation of resources and costs expertise. Fluency in English, both written and verbal Proven track record to lead and deliver on strategic projects and initiatives. Experience in change management processes including Office closure and opening; large scale staffing change processes Understanding of the context in Iraq would be an advantage, with Baghdad authority engagement a priority. Knowledge of Arabic and/or Kurdish would be an added advantage. Ability to work independently, priories tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining collaboration with diverse team members. Experience in remote management environments. Knowledge of market analysis and cash-based interventions. Valid driverโs license.What We Offer
