This Oslo-based role is permanent and reports to the Director of Climate Action, Peace and Democracy. The successful candidate will oversee a team of experts and drive strategic, operational, and technical leadership in clean energy and environmental programming.
As the Head of Energy and Environment Unit, you will take on the following responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and leadership for NORCAPโs clean energy and environmental initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.Manage and support a team of professionals, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous development.Oversee project and programme delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance with donor and organisational standards.Lead the development and implementation of thematic strategies, including risk management and cross-team learning.Cultivate and manage partnerships with donors, stakeholders, and peer organisations to enhance programme impact and sustainability.Drive fundraising efforts and contribute to proposal development to support thematic priorities.Ensure effective resource allocation, budget oversight, and achievement of key performance indicators.Promote a cohesive organisational culture through inclusive leadership and open communication.Please click here the full job description
