Reports to: Art Manager
Location: Employees in this role can work from our Boston, MA office, remotely within the U.S. or hybrid of these two options (up to 5% domestic and international travel). Position Overview The Graphic Designer is a creative and detail-oriented visual communicator who plays a key role on the Marketing and Communications team and supports Partners In Healthโ€™s (PIH) fundraising, development, and global marketing and communication efforts through strategic, high-quality design across print and digital platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong layout and typography skills, a flexible and collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visuals and communications. With guidance from the Art Manager, the Graphic Designer collaborates across multiple teams to create donor-facing materials, assists in developing campaign and initiative brands, and support in upholding PIH-brand alignment.   • Design compelling visual materials to support fundraising efforts and donor engagement priorities. Including producing print collateral for key projects such as newsletters, annual and impact reports, brochures, one-pagers, swag, and small donor gifts geared toward donor and partner audiences.
  • Design and prepare assets to support digital platforms, including web, social media, email graphics presentation decks, etc.
  • Create clear and engaging illustrations, infographics, graphs, and charts for both academic and general audiences.
  • Support the Art Manager in branding, asset development, and material rollout for initiatives, events, and campaigns.Collaboration & Storytelling (20%)
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for visual storytelling, campaigns, donor experiences.
    • Work closely with the Art Manager as well as writers, multimedia, digital, and development teams to create high-quality deliverables that are on-brand, on deadline and budget, and meet stated goals.
    • Collaborate and communicate effectively across cultures, departments, and time zones by clearly articulating design choices, actively listening to feedback, and building strong working relationships.
    • Communicate with external printers and merch vendors as needed.Design Systems & Support (10%)
      • Support the growth of a shared design system by creating templates, guidelines, and assets for global designers and non-designer colleagues. Qualifications
        • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design.
        • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of work in print and digital design. Must demonstrate strong skills in layout, brand, and typography. Experience working on design projects with nonprofit, development, or mission-driven organizations is a plus.
        • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or similar tools.
        • Illustration, infographic, or data visualization experience a plus.
        • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver quality work on time and on budget.

Pay and Benefits The expected starting salary range for new hires in this position is between $60,000โ€“65,000/year and may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market for the position, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position belongs to a class of roles that have a salary range between $60,000โ€“75,000/year. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan with automatic employer contribution, as well as participate in organization-sponsored medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employeeโ€™s eligible dependents.
