ContextUN Women Malawi has been actively collaborating with Chief Kachindamoto, a renowned traditional leader, in the fight against child marriage and the promotion of gender equality. Her leadership has led to the annulment of over 850 child marriages and the reintegration of girls into school systems, making her a powerful symbol of community-driven change. unwomen This honorary event celebrates the impact of this collaboration, highlighting the transformative role of traditional leadership in advancing the rights of women and children. The event aligns with Malawiโs commitments under the National Plan of Action on Gender-Based Violence and the HeforShe Campaign, which mobilizes men and communities to support gender equality.
Task DescriptionWe are looking for 3 Online Volunteers who, under the guidance of the UN Women Malawi team and in close collaboration with the communications unit, will support the graphic design of a commemorative pamphlet for an honorary event celebrating the collaboration between UN Women Malawi and Chief Kachindamoto, and her impact on gender equality and child protection. Responsibilities: 1. Collect background information, including target audience, design style, branding guidelines, and accessibility needs. 2. Propose a visual concept for the pamphlet based on existing content and consultations with relevant stakeholders. 3. Design and layout key materials including: A visually engaging event pamphlet Infographics, icons, and illustrations to highlight Chief Kachindamotoโs achievements Visual elements that reflect Malawian cultural identity and UN Women branding Develop final designs in accordance with UN Womenโs corporate branding guidelines (to be provided). Provide editable design files for future adaptation. Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to collaborate with UN Women Malawi and contribute to amplifying the visibility of grassroots leadership in advancing gender equality and child protection.
