DRC is currently looking for a Finance Assistant (Accountant Assistant) in Kharkiv.
About the job
Under the management Finance Team Leader, the Finance Assistant (Accountant Assistant) is part of the accounting unit in the Finance department, ensuring compliance with Ukrainian legislation and reporting requirements. You involve supporting and implementing accounting policies and standard operating procedures, providing on-the-job support, and building capacity for the project and support staff.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
Support in checking, calculating and processing the payments of business trips for DRC staff, and maintenance of advances to employees. Checking DRC Program activities related documents for compliance with Ukrainian legislation. Checking the availability of primary documents. Collection of documents and preparation documents for submission to the archive. Receiving inbound documentation for accounting processing. Control of the authenticity of the necessary documents from supplier, post it in BAF system and control supplier information in BAF system. Maintaining, timely entering transactions, posting primary documents, timely updating information in โBAFโ software, to do posting the bank statements; expense reports; inventory write off. Accounting of property, liabilities (accounting for fixed assets, inventory, etc.) Support the registration of transactions and organization of document flow in the accounting system. Ensure compliance with the procedure for maintaining travel documents and checking the relevance of reports. Ensure day-to-day accounting functions, including payments verifications, entries into BAF and accounts management and reconciliations monthly.About you:
To be successful in this role we expect you to have at least 3 yearsโ work experience in the field of finance/accounting, preferably in an INGO. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
University degrees (bachelorโs in Accounting / Finance / Audit).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and BAF.
Advanced organizational skills.
Speech and communication skills.
Accuracy in paperwork.
Ukrainian: Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing.
Desirable
