Role and responsibilities
The purpose of the Field Office Coordinator is to support the day-to-day functions of the Area office within Gaza. This includes ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to, and ensuring effective liaison between NRC and area-level stakeholders.ย

Support staff at the field office level, both program and support functions.ย
Member of the Area Management Group (AMG).
Provide input on operational support to Area Strategy, and to coordinate and align operational support with program plans.
Ensure adherence toย NRC policies, handbooks, procedures and SOPs/guidelines.
Ensure adherence to Security and Risk Management policy and procedures.
Coordinate and assist with budgets and costs for the field officeโs shared costs and support functions.
Coordinate and cooperate with NRC stakeholders (government, UN, INGO/NGO/CBO) and relevant partners, according to strategy and plans.
Complete regular reports on functional responsibilities to the Area Manager.

Specific responsibilitiesย
The area Field coordinator hold functional responsibility for managing and safeguarding NRCโs external operating environment in Gaza, including regulatory compliance, authority engagement, UN systems, and access-related frameworks in support of uninterrupted programme delivery.
In coordination with the HAS team, provide timely and accurate analysis and updates to the Area Manager on the operational context, humanitarian needs, access constraints, and emerging trends.
Work closely with the Area Manager to maintain effective relationships and ensure compliance with the requirements of relevant local authorities and external stakeholders.
Prepare and submit authorities-related reports when requested by the Area Manager.
Monitor, analyse, and track procedural, regulatory, and administrative developments in Gaza, and provide regular summaries to support NRC Gazaโs compliance with UN systems and local authority requirements.
Facilitate and coordinate the administrative processes related to Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with UN agencies and other humanitarian partners, in coordination with the Area Manager and relevant NRC support functions.
Represent NRC in external meetings, coordination forums, and engagements requiring in-person participation, and provide structured feedback to the Area Management Team.
Participate in humanitarian coordination mechanisms with UN agencies, NGOs, and other key external stakeholders, under the guidance of the Area Manager.
Support the Area Manager in facilitating access to affected populations and managing relationships with relevant external stakeholders and other key interlocutors.
Coordinate internally to ensure timely, accurate responses to formal letters, inquiries, and requests from relevant entities concerning NRCโs operations and staff, in line with NRC guidance and approvals.
Ensure accurate translation, documentation, filing, and archiving of all official correspondence and meeting records with authorities, in accordance with NRC information-management and compliance standards.
Support and follow up on administrative processes related to entry authorizations and permits for international staff, in coordination with NRC HR, HAS, and the Area Manager.
Contribute to the development and annual review of the Gaza Area Security Risk Assessment.
Provide operational recommendations to improve the effectiveness, safety, and continuity of NRC area operations.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Area Manager.

Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbalย
Bachelor's Degree
