Line management for support staff at Area Field Office (Finance, HR & Admin, Logistics, ICT)ย
Member of the Area Management Team (AMT)ย
Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and handbooks, and donor/auditor requirementsย
Provide input on operational support to Area Strategy, and to coordinate and align operational support with program plansย
Responsible for implementation of new country specific technical SOPs, guidelines and tools in Area Field Office (Finance, HR & Admin, Logistics, ICT, and Humanitarian Access & Security)ย
Coordinate and assist with budgets and costs for Area Field Officeโs shared costs and support functionsย
Provide support in the training and development of Area Field Office staffย
Coordinate and cooperate with NRC stakeholders (government, UN, INGO/NGO/CBO) and relevant partners, according to strategy and plansย
Complete regular reports on functional responsibilities to Area Manager and Country Officeย
Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.ย
Support Area Manager to implement the Area Strategy as it relates to operational support for program implementation
Work with Area Manager to facilitate access to beneficiaries and manage relationships with local authorities
Coordinate with Area Manager and Government Liaison Coordinator/Support Coordinator to ensure effective relationships and compliance with the requirements of relevant line ministries
ย Support ย Government Liaison Coordinator/Support Coordinator ย in the preparation and submitting of program update reports to different ministries at State Level and Union as directed
Ensure proper coordination and collaboration at the Area Field Office through regular team meetings
Identify resourcing needs and assist in the recruitment of Area Field Office support staff
Oversee timely and effective recruitment of staff in Area Field Office, minimizing disruption to program activities due to personnel gaps
Report to the Area Manager any violations of NRCโs personnel policies and code of conduct
Act as ย an area-level trainer for NRC Way Plus and NRC Way of People Management
Ensure accurate tracking of support information is completed and updated regularly (e.g. PRs, contracts, assets, fleet, recruitment, annual leave, training โฆetc.)
Responsible for Securing Supporting Documentation (SSD) for support documents in Area Field Office
In the absence of dedicated security personnel, perform the responsibilities of Security Focal Point (SFP) and ensure the implementation and adherence to the SFP SOP within Area Field Office
Provide security induction to all new recruits and visitors to Taungoo Field Office
Ensure all staff have completed mandatory security training
Contribute to the annual Southeast Area Security Risk Assessment
In collaboration with the Area Manager and Humanitarian Access & Safety Technical Officer/HAS Coordinator, ensure that a security plan for the area is implemented and updated regularly
Report any security incidents in accordance with the SOP
Attend meetings related to Humanitarian Access & Safety and emergency response
Establish a good working environment based on the NRC values
Other tasks as assigned by the Area Manager.
Knowledge of the context in Southeast Myanmar, particularly on the East Bagon and Kayah ย
Knowledge of Myanmar and other major ethnic languages in Southeast Myanmarย
Experience with similar positions in other organizations
- Experience in training and capacity building of teams and staffย
