ย Context
Working under the overall supervision of the Protection/MHPSS Programme Manager and closely working with the Project Coordinator, TRD and other relevant colleagues, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the reintegration Protection and MHPSS services into durable solutions activities implemented in Yola, Adamawa State
- Support the overall implementation of the SIDPIN Project in Adamawa State.
- Assist the Programme Manager in the implementation of the project activities, including coordination, reporting, logistics support, and implementation of the project activities.ย
- Assist the Programme manager in maintaining a data collection, analysis mechanisms, and share relevant information mainly from records and reports and prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports on program and project activitiesย
- Support technical monitoring of all the teams in the accessible areas, including report writing, supervision, training, and coordination sessions with each team.
- Facilitate weekly visits, collecting and compiling reports from the psychosocial support teams in Yobe and sometimes Maiduguri. Track their activities and provide timely support.ย
- Liaise with relevant governmental, non-governmental (NGOs), international organizations as well as other relevant stakeholders on issues related to MHPSS.
- Monitor project activities including those implemented by the psychosocial mobile teams by reviewing a variety of records, including control of plans, progress reports, and project inputs, identify issues and propose adjustments as necessary.ย
- Organize missions, forums, meetings, workshops, trainings and other events within the framework of the project in coordination with the project manager, project coordinator, International Expert network, and other key partners.ย
- Prepare informal translation of technical documents from English into Hausa, Kanuri, Fulfulbe, and vice-versa, if needed.
- Organize data and information, prepare and maintain records, document and control plans for the monitoring and evaluation of the project implementationย
- Coordinate Visibility and Communication activities related to the project.
- Undertake duty travel to very challenging areas when necessary.ย
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned Education
- University degree in psychology, social sciences, social work and community services, Migration Studies, Development studies, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three (3) year of relevant experience.
- High School diploma with five years of related experience or, Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position,ย preferably within the United Nations and the International Humanitarian Fieldย Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective working relations with local staff and other stakeholders.
- ย Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to independently carry out tasks, proactivity, ability to multi-task, and to prioritize.ย
- Knowledge of social and development issues in Nigeria, particularlyย within area of responsibility.
- S/he must be vast in one local language.
