ย Context ย Working under the overall supervision of Chief of mission and under the Direct supervision of the Head of office in Katsina, with ย technical guidance of the Program Manager Livelihood as an additional supervisor, the Field Staff will be responsible for implementing and managing field activities related to livelihood and climate adaptation projects. This role involves working closely with local communities, partners, and government agencies to ensure the successful delivery of project activities on the ground
1.ย ย ย ย Assist in implementing community-based climate adaptation and mitigation plans and livelihoods projects. 2.ย ย ย ย Support workshop facilitation to promote sustainable land management and conservation practices. Support the activities around the promotion of alternative clean cooking energy solutions; Support in leading reforestation and afforestation projects in the field, providing tree seedlings to households, and keeping accurate supporting documents or means of verification of the implementation while ensuring organization standards of consent are taken.ย
3.ย ย ย ย Support community-led climate vulnerability assessments to identify risks and develop resource-sharing agreements.
4.ย ย ย ย Conduct surveys and interviews to gather data on community livelihoods and the impacts of climate change. Analyze the collected data to inform project planning and implementation
5.ย ย ย ย Facilitate training sessions for community members, youth, and local leaders on climate-smart practices and sustainable resource management.
6.ย ย ย ย Work closely with local organizations, government agencies, and community groups to foster partnerships that enhance project effectiveness and sustainability.
7.ย ย ย ย Participate in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes, including assessing the effectiveness of livelihood strategies and climate adaptation measures. Provide feedback to improve future initiatives.ย
8.ย ย ย ย Perform any other general administrative duties assigned by the managers.

Education
a)ย ย ย ย High School diploma with four years of relevant experience, or
b)ย ย ย ย Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Environmental Science, climate adaptation, environmental management, Social Sciences, or a related field with two years of relevant experience.
c)ย ย ย ย Minimum of 2 years of field experience in project support or community engagement.
