ย Context
This role is responsible for supporting the country office information management requirements of the organization, facilitating the digital realization of strategic objectives and promoting knowledge exchange. ย The incumbent will be actively involved in both the development and implementation of information management projects, training and adoption of digital products as well as advancing business intelligence and reporting initiatives.
Under the direct supervision the Senior ICT Assoicate, overall supervision of the Head of Resource Management, and in close coordination with the Regional IMT Officer and relevant central ICT units, the successful candidate will provide the necessary Information Management and operations in the Country Office.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of data systems and analyticsย contributing toย data integrity and generating insights for informed decision-making. ย
- Assist advising the mission in the best use of technology and incorporating process improvements to optimize and serve IOM operations.ย
- Assist in the implementation and adoption of digital initiatives and solutions.ย
- Incorporate Information security features by design in IM solutions developed at the mission level, to meet the IOM information security standards.ย
- Aid in the collection of business requirements and the preparation of documentation, ensuring the creation of application designs that are efficient, scalable and optimized.
- Assist to develop and maintainย low code Microsoft Power Apps, Automate and PowerBi applications, portals, workflows and Services for business process automation using tools in compliance with the IOM systems architecture standards
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of reliable documentation (i.e. SOP kits) to track software development portfolio including applications, business rules, database design, troubleshooting, user and technical manuals, and application installation and code deployment.
- Support the design and development of Kobo forms tailored to each programmeโs specific needs, including form logic, validation rules, key indicators, and multilingual support.
- Keep track of existing and mission applications and identify opportunities for performance enhancement through collaboration with business stakeholdersย
- Participate in the piloting, testing and implementing innovative solutions to meet mission business requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to newย staff, ensuring their integration into the team and equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge for the development and use of IM systems.ย Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Management, or a related field or other related technical fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience, or
- Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with five years of relevant professional experience.
- Microsoft Certified Power Apps Application Developer PL100 or PL200, PL300 desired
- Specialized formal training on IT systems, business software (Microsoft Office) and web-based applications or other relevant industry certifications is an advantage.ย Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- At least 3 years' experience in designing, creating, and configuring Microsoft SharePoint Online, creating online applications and workflows using Microsoft Power Platform namely Power Apps, Power BI, Power Pages and Power Automate.
- Experience as a full-stack developer is an advantage;
- Experience in Agile or Iterative Development is an advantage ;

- Ability to work in a team environment; able to initiate and manage group studies to learn more about supporting the current infrastructure;ย
- Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end-users' knowledge of an issue-tracking system an advantage; Languages
