Humanitarian Response and Recovery Unit/Shelter sub-unit Tasks to be performed under this contract ย 

  1. Identify vulnerabilities of migrants and monitor that vulnerable individuals are assisted in a manner that ensures their safety, security and comfort; report all issues immediately to the appropriate supervisor(s) ;ย 
  2. Coordinate and liaise with the procurement and logistics unit on tendering and contracting.
  3. Support the National Programme Officer (HRR) in the design, implementation and monitoring of IOM Poland activities under the areas of Humanitarian Response and Recovery, including Shelter and NFI.
  4. Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  5. Assist Senior Programme Associate in administrative tasks and coordination of unitโ€™s activities, involving liaison with other organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
  6. Respond to information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records; organize meetings, workshops and training sessions; draft correspondence on unitโ€™s issues.
  7. Assist in preparation and update of project documents for IOM; liaise and monitor the progress of activities in accordance with the agreements and project documents;ย 
  8. Perform related administrative tasks related to their narrative and financial reports; report non-compliances to the supervisor.
  9. Undertake duty travel, if requested.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned. ย  Performance indicators for the evaluation of results ย  As per described in the tasks to be performed ย  Education
    • High school diploma with five years of relevant experience Experience
      • Proficient in a Microsoft Office environment and office software packages.
      • Knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems, data consolidation, analysis, and visualization.
      • Proficient use of commonly used IT equipment and the appropriate software solutions.
      • Experience in the management of confidential data and demonstrated the understanding of different data collection methodologies.
      • Familiar with direct assistance to migrants and/or refugees.ย 
      • Strong work ethics and commitment to humanitarian principles.ย 
      • Knowledge, interest and commitment to the IOM mandate in the orderly and humane governance of migration.
      • Excellent interpersonal relationships, including the ability to maintain effective relationships in a multicultural work environment, with sensitivity and respect for diversity. Skills
        • Strong interpersonal and communication, writing, drafting and presentations skills.ย 
        • Ability to write in a clear and concise manner.
        • Demonstrated effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner.
        • Ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with counterparts. Languages
          • English, Ukrainian and Russian. IOMโ€™s official languages are English, French and Spanish. Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments. ย  Travel required
